Social media has become a really big impact on politics and encouraged young people to get involved.
With the help of social media politics now have unlimited access to reach people. Social media was a big factor for President Obama’s election he used the web to gain supporters and express his message to the people. I know this because I follow President Obama on twitter and I love the idea of our president having a twitter.
I think social media is a great way for politicians to reach out to everyone especially young people. For me going on twitter and reading tweets about what is going on in politics has helped become more involved and interested. In a typical week I may look at a newspaper once a week or on a news website once a week, however I look at my twitter multiple times every day.
Social media is also a great way for people to express their feelings or opinions on current events in politics. During the recent election the wipe out was the trending topic and I was so excited to see what everyone would say on twitter. I would encourage any politician or city official to become more active and join social media.
Wow time really does fly by, I can remeber just like it was yesterday my first day of college. I was so excited but also so scared, this was my first time I was away from my family for this long and out on my own. The freedom was the exciting part, but being away from my family was the scary part. However here I am in my 5th year scared and excited about graduating.
The pressure is on Im constantly hearing questions like “what are going to do after graduation?” and “Do you want to go to grad school?” The honest answer to these questions is “I dont know!” However this isn’t what I tell people, because I am the type of person who always has a plan. Although at this point in my life I just dont know what I really want to do.
I wonder if this is common amongst people my age and in my situation. I feel like there are so many possibilities, as well as so many limitations. Its hard to decide which path to take, when you have the world at your finger tips. Although that sounds so cliche that is exactly how I feel.
Therefore where do I go from here? All I have known for 18 years is school and now Im bout to decide whether to continue on for another two years or embark on trying to find a career. As of now I really dont know where my life is going to take me but Im excited to find out.
